Well it’s been a bit of a roller-coaster month for us, but we’ve finally managed to get the new website up and running. There are still some creases to be ironed out, but the important thing for us was to get things up – and particularly this blog which we have been talking about for god knows how long!
Despite the doom and gloom in the media we’ve had good work coming in over the last few months from regular clients, new clients, and some old clients too. We’ve got some exciting projects in the pipeline, which we can’t wait to get stuck into.
What this has all meant is that our own site has been mostly conceived, designed and developed in the twilight hours when most sane people are tucked up in bed. It’s also been a bit of a learning process for me, as it’s been developed using Symphony – a cms/framework powered by php and xslt. It has been at times both inspiring and hair-wrenchingly frustrating to use, and if it weren’t for the great forum and IRC community I think I would have thrown the towel in long ago. I’m going to blog about it all here, so stay posted – and in the mean-time I do recommend checking out Symphony for yourselves – just be prepared to roll up your sleeves and put in some elbow grease!
Art has also been busy working away on a bunch of ActionScript experiments which he’s going to blog about in the coming weeks. From what I’ve seen they are looking pretty cool – so definitely worth checking out.
For now peace out, we’ll be back soon.
